Together with artificial intelligent (AI) researcher Axel Nordin (Ph.D.) from Department of Design Sciences LTH at Lunds University Sweden we are looking in to how we can change the future with algorithms. To understand human behavior better at work, we started collaborating with Eelco Voogd and Work & People Analytics (www.wpa.works).
We received data from them that explains behavioral information from organizations, how people act, what spaces they need and so on. By using existing data and parameters such as standard room sizes and specific work areas, we simulated different types of artificial intelligent (AI) architectural scenarios.
Basically, we are trying to creating new interior design and architecture for a future office building with artificial intelligence, not with a architect (humans). From what we can see, with AI as an interior designer or as an architect, we can quickly get a optimized plan view for enhancing collaborations, networking or play in a work environment. Different data and parameters will quickly change the architecture, structure and layout depending on what end result we are aiming for. Very exiting!
