Gastro was founded in 1998 and has been ranked as one of Sweden’s foremost restaurants for many years. The kitchen has an international focus on Scandinavian influences and a preference for Northwest Sweden raw materials. In 2005, founder Per Dahlberg was awarded the gold medal of the Gastronomic Academy for “extraordinary efforts for Swedish food culture”. After sixteen years at Södra Storgatan in Helsingborg Sweden, the restaurant moved to the former bank palace on Järnvägsgatan 3. It’s a historic building dating back to 1898 – transformed into a gastronomic meeting place with bar, restaurant and banquet hall.
